*Profile: Cloud Application Engineer* *Location: Southlake, TX* *Duration: 6+ months *• Execute Application Adoption to the Cloud process and improve it • Drive project migration to the Amazon AWS, work hand in hand with application architects, lead developers and devops • Adhere to Enterprise Cloud Standards driven by Cloud Solution Architects • Provide application and system troubleshooting and problem solving across the application stack and cloud environment • Work closely with software engineering to create and grow repeatable system deployments • Participate in on-call escalation to troubleshoot customer facing issues • Create and use customized scripts to automate repetitive tasks, configure and manage systems, monitor system health, and reporting metrics • Drive automation of monitoring tools and application deployment • Provide and improve incident and problem management coverage and support • Define and document current and future configuration processes and operating procedures • Analyzing and monitor performance bottlenecks and key metrics in order to optimize software and system performance • Provide and improve analytics and forecasts for cloud capacity, troubleshooting analysis, and uptime Desired Skills and Experience 2+ years Web Operations background understanding concepts such as distributed systems, alerting, monitoring, logging, and incident management 5+ years of Software Development including at least 1 year of Solution Architecture of critical, distributed systems Thorough understanding of HTTP server technologies and REST/JSON interfaces Experience managing the development lifecycle of products with regular updates Automation of systems administration at the OS and application server level, including automated application deployment Experience with automation and configuration management using provisioning tools like Puppet Experience with using cloud infrastructure services with AWS services; specifically EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53. Associate or professional certification highly desired. Experience with log management tools like Splunk Solid understanding of agile methodologies, working in small teams, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Firm understanding of networking concepts and technologies Understanding with one or more languages: C#, .NET, or Java Firm understanding of version control systems such as SVN and git Outstanding oral and written communication skills Experience with defining, documenting, and enforcing configuration management processes for a project team Creation and maintenance of continuous integration systems such as Jenkins, TFS, or TeamCity Creation, maintenance and testing of backup and disaster recovery plans Network engineering concepts (e.g. Firewalls, Load Balancers, CDN’s) Experience with system test tools, Strong understanding of command-line tools Excellent communication and organizational skills BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Science, IT, or similar -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
