Oracle Programmer Analyst Location: Long Island, NY Duration: 6 months (could go upto 2 + years) Rate: DOE Description As an Oracle Programmer Analyst, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address Finance MIS / Analysis demands supporting consumer lending and leasing business needs. You will develop high quality applications, troubleshoot issues and empower business partners to manage their applications. You will maintain and document existing code, provide production support and develop new code that could range from profitability data analysis to meta-data creation. Primary Responsibilities and Activities You will be required to Participate in project planning & design sessions with development managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed technology solution Liaison between business and development teams Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps Adhere to corporate control policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate architectural standards into application design specifications Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural standards Identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation Ensure service level availability of the applications and provide on-call support (24x7) Interface with corporate IT area for tasks ranging from standard software release (SDLC) process to planning server changes and architectural upgrades Design and implement new data flows Qualifications Minimum ten years of Application Development and Analysis work experience Minimum of six years of PL SQL Proven track record developing and maintaining large scale, mission critical, model based financial analytical applications Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills Experience working with, managing and manipulating large (1Tb+) data stores Person should have strong communication and interpersonal skills Person should be very strong in Oracle database: architecting database solution and design, data modeling, data analysis and developing tables, packages, stored procs, functions, views, trigger, performance and tuning, etc..
