This position is responsible for the full life cycle development, implementation, production support, and performance tuning of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Marts, Business Intelligence Reporting environments, and support the integration of those systems with other applications. As a Data Analytics engineer, you will provide technical expertise to develop, deploy, and support solutions based on Microsoft’s Database Technologies i.e. SQL Server databases, Reporting Services, Analysis Services etc. The candidate should have experience in using Cloud managed services for data warehousing and analytics in Microsoft Azure (SQL Databases, SQL Datawarehouse and Data Lakes). The candidate should have strong experience in using BI visualization tools preferably Tableau and other industry recognized reporting and analytic tools like Power BI and Wave. The Data Analytics Engineer position reports to the Manager, Data Analytics and should have strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technological pros and cons both to technical and non-technical audience. Proactive, self-starter who enjoys project, process and technology work in a fast paced, agile environment. *Responsibilities / Duties*: - Design, develop and implement Analytics solutions using technology and tools like Tableau, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Data Tools and ICS Cloud. - Participate and contribute in data warehouse development lifecycle including understanding business reporting needs, gathering & documenting data warehouse and reporting requirements, logical design, translation to physical design, ETL and report code development, and testing. - Accelerate IT and business productivity via ad-hoc and self-service reporting solutions, sophisticated multi-dimensional analysis, dashboards, etc. - Mine and aggregate dataset to identify trends/opportunities and respond to Ad hoc reporting requests by creating reports as needed for specific situations. - Interpret data and support meaningful data reporting (trending, dashboards, and graphical reporting for presentation). - Provides required technical support, including release implementations, on-call and 24x7 support when necessary. - Review ETL and report designs with peers and partners. - Undertake ETL and report query optimization, Index planning and design, index analysis and tuning. - Participate in the testing & deployment of application code to QA and Production. - Maintain and monitor Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Systems on production servers. - Collaborate with the quality engineering team to create system test plans and review results after test execution along with User Acceptance Testing feedback. *Qualifications*: - Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer science, business or related fields. - Industry experience within *bio-tech, life sciences, or high tech is preferred.* - 8+ years of experience in *ETL and reports development in SQL Server, SSIS* and related Microsoft technologies. - Strong *Tableau dashboard development and administration* skills.
