Web presentation-layer (“UI”) specialist developer who bridges the creative and technical aspects of website creation and delivery. Responsible for all aspects of Presentation Layer development including HTML markup, CSS/SCSS styling, Javascript functionality and unit testing. Responsible for creation and execution of technical designs, mentoring junior team members and advancing FE framework and technology stack. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* • Develop re-usable, maintainable cross-platform HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend web application components while adhering to web and team standards. • Write unit tests to provide sufficient testing coverage for each developed component. • Constantly review and improve frontend performance of the web application. • Work with creative and business partners to understand, build and adjust web application functionality and visual presentation to support business goals. • Work with server-side, infrastructure and 3rd party technology partners to build, integrate and deploy web application functionality and visual presentation to support business goals. • Work with project technical lead and/or FE architect to create technical designs and implementation plans. • Work with FEWD leads and architects to evolve and advance the state of FE technology stack. • Assist and mentor teammates in areas of tech design, implementation and domain expertise. • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail throughout the development process. • Remain curious and current with new developments in FE web development industry. *QUALIFICATIONS:* • Demonstrated 5 years of practical front end web development experience. • Expertise in writing and testing valid, web standards-based HTML, CSS, JS. • Demonstrated experience in solution design and level of effort estimation. • Master-level knowledge of fundamentals of computer science such as: o Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Coding Patterns. • Extensive experience with following standards and technologies is essential: o DOM, JSON, AJAX, HTML5 Video, WCAG 2.0 AA, Git. • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. • Sample portfolio (code or public facing web build) is required. • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. • Experience working for high-end brands or other environment with very high standards for presentation layer is a plus; Ecommerce experience is a plus. *please include samples if the person has them* What are the top 3 things you are looking for from a candidate? 1. For the majority of their time candidates would either be in requirement and prototype work sessions with the larger team or working on assigned build tasks and defects. Must have demonstrated practical experience in FE web development and have a portfolio of work they can share.
