*Position: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst* *Location: Smyrna, GA* *Duration: 6 months to perm* *GC citizens only* *DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES* · Reviewing and providing input to requirements/design documents · Analyze requirements and gather data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements to produce test plans and execute test cases ensuring that defects do not escape into Production · Ensure that testing activities validate that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues · Manage all aspects of testing for software development projects, problem fixes and enhancements throughout their development/product lifecycles · Test all new software to ensure that integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications · Review/analyze software requirements and technical or functional specification documents to develop test cases to validate that the code meets requirements · Write and execute complex test cases that will validate the application performs according to functional specifications and document the test results. Be able to effectively communicate to the team what issues were found during testing. · Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance *EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* · Associate, BS or BA degree in a related field · Any HP or Testing certification as follows: - QC or QTP - ASQ - QAI - ISTQB – IIST · 7+ years working with HP Quality Center writing and executing test cases and managing defects (recent experience with HP ALM version 11) · 7+ years writing test plans and analyzing technical documents to produce testing strategies · 7+ years working with various testing methodologies such as Black Box, White Box and Gray Box · 3-5 years recent testing experience on AS400/iSeries; should be familiar with CL and calling programs from the command line · 3-5 years writing and executing SQL Queries on DB2/400 to retrieve database information for back end data verification · Experience with testing techniques such as equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis · Experience with various SDLC methodologies - Experience interacting on technical and non-technical levels with Infrastructure, Network, Development, BA and other QA teams · Expert knowledge of the following Microsoft Office products is required—Word, Excel, and Outlook · Previous experience testing JD Edwards World (Distribution and Logistics System) or other ERP systems is a plus · Excellent interpersonal skills including such areas as team spirit, negotiation, collaboration, pitching in where needed, and respecting individuals at all levels · Ability to take initiative and lead projects when needed with little supervision or direction *PERKS OF THE OPPORTUNITY:* · Centralized Location · Vibrant Atmosphere · Our client maintains a laid-back work environment in which allows you to dress business casual · Ability to take ownership of projects and find solutions to challenges.
