Position:Servicenow CMDB Lead Location:Norwalk CT 06851 Duration: 6-months Description: This role is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of configuration management database (CMDB), and the follow-on transition of system to the on-going support team. Accountabilities: • Interface requirements documentation between Systems of Records (core IT systems) and SN Configuration Management module • Review & provide oversight to the Logical CMDB model and mapping of the logical model to the Cloud CMDB implementation module • Review designs for various integration components that will be developed to support integration with the various ITSM system components • Work with Project management team & the development team to resolve technical issues • Document standards, solutions, data flows, procedures, and other technical information as directed • Develop and execute test plan that ensure CMDB accuracy • Develop processes for improved system availability and operational efficiency • Mentor technical staff members • Act as the primary consultant to elicit enterprise-class business requirements. • Provide status & progress reports to Diageo Project Manager. • Ensure strong operation controls including SOX/CARM/ITIL compliance Qualifications and experience required: • 10+ years of experience delivering highly complex applications and infrastructure solutions • ITIL v3 certification • Previous experience implementing production quality, large scale global CMDBs to support IS Service Management function • Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB • Understanding of database modeling • Strong understanding of Systems and Application integration • Strong working knowledge of Java, Java EE • Good working understanding of XML and XML Schema design • Experience working in an Architect role implementing production quality three-tier Web Applications • Demonstrated capability to build and maintain good business relationships • Demonstrated capability to effectively work in a high pressure environment • Demonstrated ability to meet project requirements & timelines. • Microsoft Excel and Access high degree of proficiency • Bachelor's degree required • Communicate effectively with multiple levels of organization • Leadership • Communicate effectively with multiple levels of organization • Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks • Familiar with use of structured delivery methods Barriers to Success in Role: • Inability to work to tight deadlines and overtime as required • Inflexibility to accommodate working consistently across multiple time zones.
