Role: Sr. Data Architect / Data Modeling Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 6+ Months Rate: open Minimum Requirements: 7 or more years' experience planning and engineering use of technology software and infrastructure . Strong working knowledge of Database architectures, SQL, relational database concepts and ERDs . Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing analytics. Strong working knowledge of report design and development, dashboard design. . Strong working knowledge of enterprise data and applications architecture. Analysis of existing applications and associated interfaces. . Good understanding of ETL development and infrastructure. . Information management expertise and data exchange, architecture experience. . Strong data modeling expertise across conceptual, logical and physical data modeling of entities and attributes used in processes. Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements. Six Sigma or Business Process Re-Engineering experience required Key Areas of Focus: Data Modeling: Conceptual, Logical and Physical data modeling of entities/attributes used throughout the DoA processes. Data Dictionary and Meta-Data: Catalog of business and technical meta-data around key data. Technical meta-data including data type, and source/target information, and business data including definitions and valid values. HSSN/DARTS: Mapping of front end GUI interface screens to back end database attributes. Edits / Business Rules: Analysis and documentation of known business rules and their technical implementations via programs and code. SAS Code Analysis: Extraction of business rules and programmatic functionality in SAS code used for the back end Exceptions processes via the Access EUC. Business Objects Universe: Reports Inventory and analysis of key Operational Reports, reverse engineering based on the SQL to identify data sources and relationships (specific data attributes used) Data Quality Analysis: System (SQL) based analysis of specific data to gauge quality against known business / technical meta-data and rules. Data Standardization: Post Analysis Activity to standardize any identified variances in the data for exchange purposes. Requirements: Drafting comprehensive requirements based on Current State/Solutions Analysis that will facilitate technical solutions and quick strike opportunities to add values.
