Need a *Sr. IT Project Manager *with extensive* Data Warehouse *domain expertise for a 9+ month contract assignment with a major *Healthcare*client in *Long Beach, CA*.
The general position description for this role is listed below. This PM is a brand new addition to the IT PMO group and he or she will be responsible for working to translate business requirements into a *technical design strategy* for implementing the application or solution. The PM will coordinate with Technical leads and developers and various teams, to plan, design and implement phases of the Data Warehouse (*EDW*) implementation. This is an IBM project using *Teradata* tool. The ideal candidate will have: · Experience in implementing *Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW),*preferably involving *Teradata* and *Netezza* (IBM tool)*.* · *Systems Development Lifecycle *knowledge at a detailed level. · Strong* Project Management *fundamentals. The PM will need to mix *communications diplomacy* with solid *technical* depth. This person will require a *minimum* of *10 years of total experience *with* 5 years of pure Project Management experience, *working in large scale companies. *PMP* certification is preferred. This role will have some "business-facing" interactions, so communication skills must be top-notch. We would prefer candidates who are *local to Southern California*, as an in-person interview round will be required!
