*JOB DESCRIPTION* *Data Modeler/SQL Developer * *Dallas/ Ft. Worth, TX* *6+ Months Contract* *Phone Screen followed by F2F* *Rate: Open on C2C/ W2* *Job Description:* • Expertise in development and maintenance of logical and physical data models along with best practices regarding metadata management. • Must demonstrate expertise in the development and maintenance of database procedures and triggers. • Must be able to propose and develop optimizations for existing physical data models • Verbal and written communication skills. • Analytical and problem solving skills with ability to clearly articulate solution alternatives. • Experience in AGILE project management a plus. Candidate must have 7 yrs relevant experience in the following areas: Must have demonstrated expertise in development and maintenance of logical and physical data models along with best practices regarding metadata management. Prefer experience using ER/Studio Data Modeler, but will also consider relevant experience with another enterprise modeling tool. Must be able to propose and develop optimizations for existing physical data models and provide a rationale for proposed changes to an audience with varying knowledge regarding the data modeling process. Must have a broad understanding of development and administrative best practices for either the Oracle or SQL Server DBMS. Must demonstrate expertise in the development and maintenance of database procedures and triggers. Will consider relevant experience in either PL/SQL or Transact-SQL. PL/SQL experience is preferred. Must be able to understand and translate business requirements into data models that support long-term business initiatives. Must be able to work with application developers to properly maintain and enhance existing physical data models.
