*Role - BI Reports Developer Location - Minneapolis, MN Duration – 6+ Months* Analyst to plan, design, develop, code, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance reports and related data components as requested by internal clients. Participates in the devising of reporting project timelines, gathering and formalizing reporting design specifications, and system/report documentation. Must be able to apply SDLC concepts, operate with minimal work direction, have a proven track record of delivering solid, robust solutions, and provide best practicing sharing within work group. *Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:* - Manage the standardized reporting rhythm of published business performance metrics and divisional KPIs - Maintain, enhance, and refine existing analytic solutions, automating and providing for self-service whenever possible - Provide daily decision making support in response to ad-hoc requests from the business. - Become an SME with sales reporting and Point-of-Sale (POS) data and data sources - Consolidate data from disconnected sources in order to provide greater analytic insight - Migrate data from Microsoft Access databases to corporate data servers as needed for reporting and analytics *Technical Requirements:* - Strong Business Objects Web Intelligence (R4) Report Design capabilities - Strong Business Objects (R4) Universe Design capabilities (both UNV and UNX) - Strong technical SQL data capabilities (Teradata, MS-SQL Server) - Strong Microsoft Office 365 (v13) product capabilities, especially Excel and Access * Preferred Requirements:* - Experience with Business Intelligence products (SAP Lumira, SAP Explorer, QlikView) - Comfortable navigating complex data structures to isolate key conditions or for data mining purposes - Experience with key 3M data systems (TAFE/TABE, StarBeam, GSDB, POSe, etc) - Experience with 3M’s key data sources (Teradata, GEDW, HANA, BW, SQL Server, etc) - SAP experience, or experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position and provides best practicing sharing within work group. Plans, designs, develops, codes and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Responsibilities: Revises and refines systems as required. Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation. Involved in testing and ongoing support of business systems. Develops and maintains operational and system level documentation.
