Development tasks shall include database updates, SQL development, stored procedure development and system integration. Tradeflow experience and/or financial industry acumen is critical. If the person does not have this, they will have to learn extremely fast. Skills needed: 1. Oracle on Unix Getting someone with Oracle on Unix is what we really need - resources with just Unix or with Oracle but on another platform such as Windows would require significant training. Someone accustomed to working with Oracle SQLDeveloper or SQL*Plus on Unix would only have to learn our database schema to become productive relatively quickly in maintaining SQL code. This is our "Oracle Developer" role and this combination of skills is common. *2. Experience writing Unix shell scripts using Korn Shell or a similar * *scripting language. This skill along with Control-M on Unix is the core of * *our "Batch Developer" role. Somebody with strong shell scripting could * *pick up Control-M. * 3. TIBCO 4. Control M 5. Cognos Original: Competency in Unix and Oracle, PL/SQL or other SQL, as well as at least one procedural or OO programming language, plus a working knowledge of XML are the minimum requirements. Next would be TIBCO and MQ or similar message queueing technology. Cognos would be a nice to have at this point unless we expect to be doing new framework or report development. Order of priority 1. UNIX/Linux 2. Oracle 3. TIBCO 4. Control M 5.
