An early response is really appreciated. *Position: Help Desk Technician* *Location: Kansas City, MO* *Duration: Long term Contract* *Customer: KCS * *Functional Duties* § Gathers detailed information from customers via telephone or remote support tools. § Utilizes existing tools to diagnose customer’s needs and evaluate options for resolution. § Resolves issues for KCSR systems remotely when possible. § Maintains awareness changes in the environment that affect the supported customer base. § Attends regular meetings and training activities. § Updates current Help Desk Documentation to reflect troubleshooting steps for known errors. § Logs all tickets in ticketing toll and follows established ticketing processes. § Night Shift: Compiles and distributes the morning report within defined timeframe. § Other duties as assigned. *Preferred Certifications & Licensures* § Keyboard Skills (Typing, data entry, etc.) § Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills § Strong interpersonal skills, friendly demeanor and helpful attitude § Excellent verbal and written communication skills § Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision. § Strong computer skills. § Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint (2010). § Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills. § Strong interpoersonal skills, friendly demeanor and helpful attitude.
