Under general supervision,the Software Engineer - Kronos develops and
supports Workforce Management initiatives, Kronos Retail and other
Corporate and financial systems. This position assumes responsibility for
administration, documentation, support and troubleshooting of these
systems. This position participates in all phases of the software
implementation process including both package and custom development.
Software development processes include requirements gathering and analysis,
functional design, technical design, coding, testing, implementation, and
post implementation support . This position may also be called upon to act
as Project Manager of Workforce Management and Corporate systems projects.


*ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Develop and support existing and future applications.
Analyze, design, develop, maintain, monitor and support Workforce
Management , Kronos retail and other Corporate systems? environment and
implement robust, maintainable solutions that meet the established business
requirements.
Establish and enforce software development best practices.
Develop and maintain technical and project documentation.
Develop test plans and work with QA to establish test processes.
Provide recommendations to management, based on current and emerging
technologies, on methods to reduce costs, improve performance and
availability, and reduce administration time for GameStop Workforce
Management and Corporate systems.
Research, test, and apply all applicable service packs.
Support new implementations, upgrades and rollouts of Kronos Workforce
Central and Corporate and financial systems.
Perform on call duties.
Develop productive, sustainable cross-functional relationships throughout
the organization.
Model the collaborative and supportive behaviors expected from all GameStop
associates including, but not limited to, supporting a diverse, inclusive,

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)
A Bachelors degree from an accredited program in Information Systems,
Computer Science or other related field required
At least 5-8 years of application analysis, design, development and
maintenance experience with Kronos, Workforce Management and financial
systems. Also experience with Microsoft?s solutions, client side and server
side controls, and SQL Server experience
At least 3 years of Kronos and financial applications experience such as
Epicor Sales Audit and Great Plains in a retail environment preferred

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES*
Knowledge and experience with Kronos Workforce Central Suite 6.1.
Proficient knowledge of Workforce Connect and Workforce Integration Manager.
Proficient SQL Skills - Sqlserver
General knowledge of corporate financial systems.
Proficient in User interface design and developing visually appealing user
interfaces
Proficient ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others;
conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the
organization
Expert ability to understand and apply basic software implementation
methodology concepts
Working knowledge of effective problem solving and identifying innovative
solutions, including new products
Proficient analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate existing or
proposed new solutions for potential flaws or improvement opportunities ?
including alignment to departmental goals and standards
Working ability to navigate complex environments, work with
interdisciplinary teams and effectively communicate priorities, delivery
