Position: Vertica Consultant Duration: 6+ Months Location: Peabody, MA (Need Locals or Nearby F2F required) Rate: DOE *Job Description:* Our client is looking for a *Senior Vertica Developer or DBA* to assist in the development of back-end database/BI solutions. Need *2+ years of hands-on* professional experience with *Vertica as a Developer or DBA is the most critical skill* The candidate will use their BI skills to help develop analytic products, support marketing analytics The key technologies for this position are (in descending order of importance) *Vertica, ETL, Talend, Linux, AWS (S3), and Redshift*. Experience with other database technologies in a *Big Data environment is a plus* *Health care experience* is a nice to-have (mostly for HIPAA compliance) but is not a requirement Beyond the Vertica, candidates should be comfortable using *Massive Parallel Processing (MPP) technology like Amazon Redshift, ETL tools like SSIS, SQL and scripting languages*.
