6- 12 months Need local Vertica Database Performance Engineer: - In depth on Vertica Physical and Logical Architecture - Projection Design and SQL Tuning. - Expert on Various Tuning and Error Logging - Installation, Rebalance, Backup and Recovery - Resource Management, Memory Management - Deep understanding of various Tools - Deep Understanding of Linux Operating System, Commands, Tracing and Performance tools - Ability to write Python scripts - Understanding of tuning OS level Kernel parameters - Nice to have understanding of Kafka or other RDBMSs - Ready to work late night and weekends - Excellent communication skills Overall a very good performance engineer who is ready to drive things to closure end to end.
