So let me know if you have any matching profile for the below position.* *Position : Vulnerability Manager.* *Duration: 6 months* *Location: Bellevue, WA* This role would basically be a savvy business person that will act as a liaison between the business and technical folks. Often the technical team members are lacking in business skills so this person will be that. It is a new role and the reports and function will be created and refined as they go. Will attend meetings, assist with follow up action items, and translate heavily technical data in a consumable format for all segments of the company. • Fill the gap in the vulnerability management team for advisory services. This role will enhance our service offering and be the bridge between our customers and the remediation team. Furthermore, this role will field queries from our customers and advise on trends in customer satisfaction, retention, and perception. • Allow the Vulnerability Manager to focus on growing the vulnerability scanning program and develop and realize the overall strategy. This position will allow us to increase the throughput of vulnerability scanning projects and decrease our timeline to a mature vulnerability program. There are 3 functional areas that this team interfaces in: Vulnerability Scanning, App/Web Scanning and Penetration Testing. Vulnerability Scanning • Uses a tool called Qualys (cloud tool that works similarly to an anti-virus product) to scan everything on the network for vulnerabilities and reports on findings. App Testing/Web Testings • Tool called IBM App Scan records all activities within web/app and looks for flaws in code. “Hacks in to find issues and vulnerabilities”. • Once vulnerabilities are found, the team ultimately re-writes code accordingly Penetration Testing • Literal hackers try to break code. • Business/Communication skills are most important and security would be nice. • Modest knowledge of security would be good and will need to present to key stakeholders.
