Sybase or Oracle is a second option Candidates MUST FACE TO FACE in NY- and must have Investment markets exp *Business Domain Skills:* - Exposure to capital market applications, with a general understanding of products *Other Skills:* - Experience working with teams across multiple locations *REQUIREMENTS: * - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field - Strong, hands-on experience in solution design, architectural analysis within trading systems - Good understanding of financial and energy trading markets, especially front and mid office within at least one asset class or product type - Excellent knowledge of Core Java especially Collections, I/O, Multi-threading and Generics - Proficient in one or more software products/vendor solutions such as: (Oracle) Weblogic Platform, iPlanet, IBM WebSphere Platform - Excellent knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, JUnit and Ant Proficient in OOAD, UML, Design Patterns Description: *Role:* Java developer for investor services platform which acts as a key back-office application as part of Hedge platform *Description:* The expectation on this project is to play the role of a Senior Developer on a 3 tier application with a Java Swing front-end, a Spring based middle tier and Sybase backend. The project is driven *heavily using Agile methodologie*s and *Extreme Programming principles.* The developer should have strong experience working on Core Java along with Spring framework and Java Swing (optional).
