As a Senior Software Engineer with the DevOps Engineering team, you will play a key role in the design, development and implementation of our DevOps applications, automation tooling, agile deploy framework, big data analytics and monitoring solutions. The DevOps team primarily works with the following languages: C#, MS SQL, XML, Javascript, Powershell and Python. We aim to continuously improve the reliability of our services with a focus on automation, process improvement and operational velocity toward our continuous delivery objectives. Responsibilities Web application and infrastructure performance baselines, analysis, tuning, capacity planning and demand forecasting Development and implementation of custom applications and automation solutions for large scale distributed web applications across multiple tiers and data centers Work closely with infrastructure, operations, development and QA teams on new and ongoing technology projects Research and develop next generation DevOps tooling and capabilities Perform aggregate data analysis across multiple data inputs Respond to, triage and troubleshoot incidents Review entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improve overall performance of our application release pipeline Design, develop and execute automated tests to validate solutions and environments Document current and future state configuration, processes and policies Availability for On-call after-hours support Up to 10% travel may be required Required Qualifications Experience working with large scale distributed web applications across multiple environments Proficiency in at least one OOP language (.NET, Java, C++, etc) Experience in OOP methodologies and principles Experience working with databases, relational or NoSQL Experience developing complex regex search patterns Solid understanding of operational principles in capacity planning, monitoring and incident handling Understanding of building and managing large-scale systems and application architectures Experience building performance test environments a plus Ability to work in a collaborative team oriented Agile/SCRUM environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with big data analytics, data collection/visualization and anomaly detection Experience with data modeling Development background in .NET/C#/Powershell Familiarity with network protocol tracing and analysis Experience with scaling and orchestrating Azure/AWS deployments Experience with real-time technology challenges Experience integrating with third party APIs Understanding of load balancing and global traffic management Understanding of Splunk query language, dashboard creation, field extraction, etc. Strong working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, their underlying components, system statistics, performance tuning, file systems and I/O Experience in scalability, optimization and performance analysis Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
