Job Title: AS400/iSeries DEVELOPER Location: Grand Rapids, MI Duration: 6-8 Months Contract Job Description: Analyze, estimate and develop requested modifications and required corrections to existing software solutions that resides on an AS/400, Point from CSC. Work directly with the customers, as well as, support team members to implement solutions, maintaining existing functionality. Develop new and modify existing solution components to ensure business support within the scope of existing functionality. Duties: Production support, new development, and enhancement of existing iSeries application Documenting requirements/specifications of new and existing reports, queries, views, etc. Developing new and document existing solutions. Testing modifications to reports and queries. Implementation of modifications into production. Ensuring setup, execution and distribution/delivery of reports. Developing and maintaining solutions in iSeries AS/400 environment Modifying existing databases and database management systems. Defining, designing and documenting logical and physical database schemas Working as part of a project team, and independently Assume leadership whenever required to accomplish objectves. Skills: Ability/experience working independently, interacting with the business users Experience in iSeries environment. RPG, Cobol, DB2 Programming, I-Series Batch Process Embedded SQL and stored procedures Web apps/network experiences. Proven track record of success in plying strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
