This position is for an experienced Citrix Architect and is needed to
maintain the Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp environment. This role is critical to
the functionality of the P4 and Rome project as they are the primary users
of the XenDesktop’s. This role also supports & maintains the environment
that publishes the HiCAMS & SAP applications via Citrix which many DOT
users use on a daily basis.

Consultancy Skills. Ability to understand the market, industry and
competitors that have an impact on the customer’s business.
Planning and Organizing. Ability to provide regular day-to-day planning and
organization of the work of others.
Project Management. Ability to manage highly complex projects including
software installation and migration.
Technical Knowledge. Ability to modify complex operating software
programming.  Ability to make sophisticated
modifications.
Technical Solution Development. Ability to identify trends in recurring
problems and develop appropriate solution.
Technical Support. Ability to negotiate time and priorities with vendors to
achieve problem resolution.
Customer Services. Promotes positive customer relationships and mentors
others to ensure customer satisfaction.
Effective Communication. Interprets and communicates information, ideas,
and instructions. Persuades and negotiates to build cooperation and
consensus, Translates advanced technical issues into understandable terms
for non-technical users.
Organizational Awareness. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Department and
relationships (formal and informal).
Teamwork. Assesses skills within a team and works to build on individual

- Has this resource ever designed a new Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop solution
before running on VMware?
- Can this resource manage prepare the design and implement the solution
with minimal oversight?

Description Of Services:
This project is focused on designing and deploying a new Citrix XenDesktop
and XenApp environment running on a VMware platform to support the growing
needs of the organization.  This person will be responsible for all major
work efforts on the project and should have completed several design and
implementation efforts.  In addition, ideal candidates will hold the
current Citrix certifications for both XenApp and XenDesktop.

Deliverables:
The deliverables will include a design of the environment, documentation
outlining the steps that were taken to complete the deployment, and any
recommendations for future updates based on data gathered throughout the
project.
