*Description Of Services:*
Aerospace & Defense (A&D) Role - Local only to Tucson, AZ or Dallas, TX
*Summary:*
This position combines the responsibilities of a software developer and
support engineer.
As a developer, this person will be responsible for maintaining existing
web applications developed using Java and .NET technologies. This person
will also be responsible for maintaining legacy shell and SQL scripts that
run as batch jobs in a UNIX environment. Developing new web applications
or batch jobs may be required, but will be infrequent.
As a support engineer, this person will be responsible for supporting the
Visiprise Manufacturing (VM) shop floor web application and related
applications and jobs. This includes working with users to resolve errors,
batch loading data for users, and creating technical solutions as needed to
meet the users’ needs. This position also requires serving as a member of
a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
*Deliverables:*
Support the third-party Visiprise Manufacturing (VM) tool, its data
warehouse and its users
Member of a 24x7 on-call technical support rotation
Provide SQL scripting and shell scripting as needed
Provide development and support for complex Java web applications
Provide development and support for less-complex .NET web applications
Perform other duties as assigned.
