Position: Java Developer
Location: San Francisco, CA{only locals} Rate: $50/hr Duration: 12 months contract (with possibility of extension) Position Description: Experience Level: 7-10 years technical background and 5-6 years directly related web experience. Description: Leads the development and implementation of highly complex internet and intranet applications on one or more diverse platforms. Uses advanced knowledge of web technologies, including C++, Java, Java Script, HTML, CGI, XML, Perl, ASP, multimedia applications, database modeling tools and/or database interactions. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Researches and tracks new web technologies, develops service applications, and analyzes business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems. Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff. Minimum Qualifications . Minimum of 8 years of Java/JEE programming experience. (JSP/Servlets, HTML, Springs, JavaScript, JUnit, Struts, Hibernate) . Minimum 2 years of Lead experience. . Proven experience analyzing business requirements with the ability to translate and write technical specifications to design or design applications. . Ability to review code and test when necessary. . Minimum 5 years of Object Oriented design experience . Minimum 5 years of SQL and/or database design . SQL and PL/SQL experience (ability to write new and understand existing SQL PL/SQL such as stored procedures) . Web logic experience . Thorough knowledge of Java core/EE patters and must know what to use and when. . Experience with UNIX is a plus . Financial / Banking programming experience . Ability to work independently and as a member of a high performance team. . Excellent communication, problem solving, and judgment skills. . Able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. . Excellent understanding of project methodologies.
