This position is responsible for providing the infrastructure for BI Developers, power users and end users. In addition, and assuming availability of time, the Business Objects developer will be assigned report development opportunities. This is a technical role and requires an in-depth knowledge Business Objects administration, universe and report development. In addition, knowledge of the various tools within the Business Objects suite (Crystal, webi, Universes and Dashboard) is critical to the success of this position. *Job Responsibilities* - Design, Install, upgrade, configure, administer and monitor Business Objects products including Crystal, WEBI, Universes and Dashboards. Act as a primary technical contact to Business Objects for support and enhancement issues. - Participate and assist in the plan, design, deployment and implementation SAP BO BI 4.1 as we plan to upgrade from BO Xi R2. - Provide expert assistance and guidance on BOE tool and system related issues to report developers. - Coordinate with System and Network Administrators on infrastructure impact and changes. - Develop innovative solutions and provide responsive operational support. - Anticipates potential problems and proactively recommends solutions. - Trouble shoot issues reported and document root cause analysis. Escalate issues to SAP as needed. - Responsible for account management and publications of objects across multiple environments. - Provide usage information of the BI Platform as requested. - Support the design and development of Business Objects enterprise reporting solutions, to include Business Objects universe design and development, and report design/development using web intelligence, Crystal Reports and Dashboards. - Create design specifications for new reports and identify and validate the appropriate technological solutions for various reporting needs. - Analyzes and refines requirements, provides level of effort (LOE) estimates, creates technical requirements, designs, build and tests reports. - Provide leadership, vision and document the best usage and practices with regards to the Business Objects tool set. - Accurately plan and schedule Business Objects administration projects; including upgrades. - Develop training plan and conduct training for BI Tools. - Provide ongoing monitoring of Business Objects auditing Universe and provide recommendations for process improvement. *Job Requirement* - Proven analytical and problem solving skills - Strong customer service skills and passion to work through obstacles to produce results - Able to work in a projects-based, team environment - Proficient in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects, able to meet target completion dates - Proficient with Microsoft Office applications - B.S. in Computer Science or similar field, M.S. preferred - 5 years of experience developing, maintaining and administering Business Objects 4.X environment - 5 years of experience designing and developing Business Objects Universe and reports - 5 years of experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse products - 3 years of SSIS ETL experience preferred - Business Objects XI R2 strongly preferred - Business Object 4.x experience required - Experience with installation, configuration and stabilization of medium- to large-scale Business Intelligence implementations Regards , Kailash Negi VSG Business Solutions Phone: 302-261-3207 x 102 Email: kail...@vsgbusinesssolutions.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
