Top Skills You Should Possess: .Cobol Programming .AS400 i-series .UAT .Agile What You'll Be Doing: .Work as part of an Agile development team .Create, Unit Test and Document all modules, programs and functionality defined based on the User Stories and Sprint requirements. .Work with the QA Resources on the Agile development team to develop test cases, functional tests plans and regression test requirements for the functionality developed .Work with appropriate personnel to set up required test data when applicable in appropriate environments. .Report progress of development during the daily stand-up. .Work with the Agile development team to coordinate the resolution of defects found .Work with Agile development team to assist with the Implementation of automated test scripts for new development and select regression test cases .Work with the Agile development team to assist in performing stress/load test where appropriate. .Transition of all development artifacts to client-owned environments/infrastructure in a working state by the end of the project .Coordinate status, schedule and any obstacles/issues with appropriate Team members .When applicable, perform work closely with Release Management coordinators to perform all release management duties while ensuring all SSAE 16 audit requirements have been met and adhering to schedules as outlined by the Release Management team. .Create required documentation & participate in required reviews as needed .Provide project documentation for the project tasks and deliverables as needed .If applicable, Interface with GIS/other operations teams to obtain support needed (for instance we need them to migrate changes to a QA environment) or to resolve issues that may arise that impact QA (for instance QA server has an unplanned outage, need to engage and support web ops team while they troubleshoot the issue) What You Need to Bring to the Table: .15+ years of Cobol programming experience; Recent experience required on AS400 i-series .Must have mastered Batch systems on the AS400 i-series .Advanced knowledge of software development tools, defect and test case management tools. .Advanced understanding of Software Development Life Cycle Development and QA processes - adept at Agile methodologies and how designing, developing and QA/testing fits in this paradigm .Advanced knowledge of and experience with the development languages and tools identified for this project .3+ years' experience functioning as Software Engineer on an agile team .3+ years' experience of development using the AS400 i-Series development languages and tools identified .Microsoft Suite Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Regards Dayle Wilson - IT Technical Recruiter ITBrainiac Inc.
