Responsibilities Support Java Spring MVC framework and Jquery based applications related to gift card activation process Participate in designing and developing of application systems and/ or life cycle enhancements to existing applications in multiple system environments Manage day to day Incident related to the application – Level 2 support Address reported issues through phone calls from Level 1 support (L1 will do initial triage of incidents) Interacting with other related team from customer like Middleware and infrastructure team to resolve issues – ie. Coordination with different stakeholders involved in the support Trouble shooting of incidents to determine the cause of failure and resolve or work with relevant teams to resolve card activation error issues Customer expected support shift coverage is 8 AM EST to 12 AM (midnight) EST – so be flexible to work around normal or late afternoon shift timing Ensure complete and clear handover to the next shift staff to ensure continuity and least impact to dealers and customers during the card activation process Skill sets Good knowledge and experience working on J2EE, Java Web Services, Java MVC Spring framework, JQuery and Java Mail API Thorough hands on working expertise with J2EE, Java , Spring, Spring MVC, SAML, JAX-WS SOAP and REST Web Services, ANT, Maven Extensive work experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, jQuery, XML, JSON, XSLT. Proven experience working with Maven and any Continuous integration tool Strong ability to understand business requirements and translate into technical requirements Experience managing offshore software application teams. Strong problem solving and analytical skills Self-motivated, self-learner, independent, detail oriented, and a responsible team player The ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing Experience with IBM RAD and Eclipse IDE - preferred.
