Urgent Direct Client requirement in New York, NY. Looking for FTE and contract - Application Programmer in New York, NY Client investment backing *Requirement is as follows :* Responsibilities · Well rounded individual capable of contributing to all aspects of the life cycle of a development project from analysis and design through daily production support · *Strong in SQL* · Support existing client reports using Crystal Reports · Support existing processes using Java to extract information from Portfolio Accounting System and populate a data warehouse. · Will have to spend 50% time in production support while the rest for new development *Experience & Skills Required* · Bachelor Degree required preferably in Computer Science. Advanced degree a plus but not required. · 4 -5 years programming experience required. · 1 -2 years of experience in financial industry required. Accounting background will be a plus. · Solaris, Linux, Shell Scripting · Java / JDBC · Microsoft SQL Server / Data Warehousing · Crystal Reports or any other reporting package experience preferred · Experience in Portfolio Accounting System preferred but not required. *Experience in Advent Geneva is a definite plus*. · Candidates should also have excellent verbal and written communications skills and good attention to detail.
