Middleware Administrator Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL Long term Contract Our Client, a global leader in equity derivative services, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Middleware Administrator to join their team in the Dallas, TX area on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. The selected candidate will provide expertise in implementing and supporting various middleware integration technologies. We are specifically seeking expertise in encryption technologies and experience within memory data grid technologies. Install, configure and maintain middleware on multiple operating system platforms and multiple network protocols. Configure production, development and testing environments Ensure high availability Consultatively advise on design, technology selection, and assist with development of applications using these tools. Performance tuning and ensuring availability in disaster recovery. Configuration troubleshooting and problem resolution Assist production support and development staff in debugging middleware defects. Critical thinker, superior problem solving skills. Work independently. Flexibility to be on call from 5 PM to 7 AM for 3 months per year. Expertise: Systems administration and change management practices J2EE application servers. Message-oriented middleware. Internet/Web based technologies. Transactional systems (XA/2PC), CORBA/RPC services and Java technologies. Encryption Technologies and Memory Data Grid Technologies Experience working in a distributed multi-platform environment. Experience a Unix environment and supporting middleware software(Application Servers, Messaging, Transaction Monitors, CORBA) Experience supporting message-oriented middleware (WebSphere MQ, Tibco), WebSphere or similar J2EE Application server (BEA Weblogic) in Unix environment Certified IBM WebSphere Administrator or MQ Specialist certification preferred.
