*Immediate Need NoSQL Admin (Cassandra, Mongo, Couchbase, DataStax, Solr) In Cincinnati, OH*
Job Title :NoSQL Admin Location: Cincinnati, OH Duration: 6 months Essential Job Functions: Provide guidance to Ecommerce development teams on Kroger’s Middleware technology systems and services in an effort to improve performance and reliability of new applications and new application features. Experience working in a NoSql environments such as Cassandra/Mongo/CouchBase Strong technical knowledge of DataStax utilizing Cassandra and Apache Solr Expertise in building low latency/high throughput data management components to handle large volume of transactions Spark and Hadoop experience a plus Experience with Cassandra Data Modeling a plus Expertise in operating distributed database applications Experience with installation and configuration of Tomcat and WebSphere Liberty Experience setting up and supporting HA environments consisting of multiple front-end and backend services Ability to configure Apache mod_proxy or NGINX requiring backend proxy capabilities Linux experience with a slight preference for Red Hat Must be willing to provide off-hours support (24 x 7) on a rotational basis Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to analyze and correct issues in distributed n-tier environments Familiarity with Agile SDLC and ALM tools such as Teamcity, Git/Stash, Jira, and Confluence Proven ability to create and modify Linux shell scripts Proven understanding of security and administration best practices Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation Minimum Position Qualifications: Experience with DataSTax Cassandra databases technologies is required. Experience in operating distributed database applications is required. Experience with Spring framework is a plus Experience with Linux scripting is required Data modelling experience is a plus Retail experience is a plus Comfortable working with Agile environment.
