*Location :Baltimore,MD*
*Duration : 6+ Months *
*Main Skills:*
The resource needs to be a good communicator (9/10) with the ability to do
a full knowledge transfer at the end of the term (if not hired.) I prefer
DBA certification.
*EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:*
· 10+ years of strong experience as Oracle DBA
· Strong experience with database administration tasks for Oracle
environments
· Experience with cloning databases, exporting, importing and copying data
from one environment to another as needed
· Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Oracle environments,
specifically 11g and 12c
· Experience doing Oracle database upgrades and patches
· Working knowledge of database performance tuning and configuration tools
in Oracle
· Experience with database recoverability including backups, restores, DR
and experience working on Oracle Dataguard, Oracle RMAN and GoldenGate
· Strong experience with Oracle RAC.
· UNIX shell scripting experience to write UNIX shell scripts to help in
database administration tasks.
· Experience with Solaris 11
· Experience with recommending tactical and strategic solutions
· Expertise in troubleshooting all aspects of Oracle Server technologies.
· Proficiency in Oracle optimization, fine-tuning, and scalability
techniques including RAC for mission-critical production systems
·Proactively monitoring and maintaining production databases.
· Perform logical database design review and physical database
implementations.
· Work with application teams on all aspects of database design including
tables, views, stored procedures, packages and manage role based grants.
