Otherwise a strong systems analyst that is willing to be trained would be her last preference.* *Job Details-* located in Pleasanton CA, Duration-long Term, Rate-Open Client is seeking a Systems Analyst to join it’s IT Engineering group. *KEY ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE SYSTEMS ANALYST* Support systems analysis for the platforms managed by the Enterprise Systems Group. This encompasses the following services: Collaboratively elicit, analyze, validate, specify and verify the business needs of the project stakeholders, including business owners and end users on complex cross-division or multi-user base projects Develop requirements documents and use cases for new product features Collaborate with technology teams to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between competing priorities. Monitor and update the status of agile development projects supporting new features. Gather and analyze input on requirements, issues and existing and desired functionality from internal customer groups in order to develop feature definition and/or business process changes. The internal groups include Business Development, Distribution Account Management, Operations, Space Planning, Compliance, Risk Management and Legal. Ensures that User Stories are properly structured (Epics, User Stories, Tasks). Ensures that technical team is tracking to requirements. Resolve specific challenges related to how a feature/tool will work and make trade-offs of scope, time & budget when issues arise during development Perform product demonstrations and product technical presentations Coordinate Release Activity and Release Planning for platform Maintain current technical documentation for platform(s). Serve as the customer representative in planning and requirements documentation Performs administrative tasks in Rally as required to support platform Provide input towards developing and implementing process improvements and/or technology solutions which create value and drive benefit for business stakeholders. Seek architecture and design input to insure future solutions are in line with overall platform goals and IT standards Partner with other functional and technical teams that rely on and leverage platform and insure that cross functional requirements are being met. Function as key representative in IT communications to management and business community in matters related to platform. Work with management to perform technical and business analysis for build/buy/partner decisions *Qualifications: The following are required unless specifically stated:* *Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Management or related discipline or equivalent work experience.* *3+ years of experience in systems analyst experience.* *Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology.* Experience working in the software development environment. Prior experience using standard requirements elicitation techniques Proven ability to facilitate negotiation of competing viewpoints and prioritization across stakeholders Demonstrated ability to select requirements methodologies appropriate for business and technology team needs Experience in requirements modeling, representing requirements information in graphical forms that augment textual representations in natural language, and facilitating understanding Ability to translate complex business problems to organized, clear and concise business requirements. Application, technology, and business domain knowledge Understanding of application architecture and technology infrastructure Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills Understanding of project management, risk management, quality engineering Proven ability to manage multiple activities of varying complexity while prioritizing and focusing on critical tasks and issues A team player – experience working with multiple teams. Strong communication skills – verbal and written skills required. Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle competing priorities. Strong time management and organization skills. Previous experience implementing and/or supporting a technical system. Ability to translate user needs to technical staff and technical limitations or benefits back to users. Aptitude towards creative problem solving. Proven self-starter. Ability to be productive and effective within a matrix organization.
