TOP CRITERIA FOR THIS POSITION: - At least 5 years pf experience FOCUSED on NetApp storage (NetApp storage expertise is a must) - Looking for candidates with experience in a large enterprise environment - Local candidates strongly preferred POSITION OVERVIEW: The NetApp Storage Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of the NAS solution in the environment. The current infrastructure consists of a range of NetApp filers running Data OnTap 8 in both 7 and cluster mode. Replication is setup between data centers. Provide support in the infrastructure space with responsibility for the Storage Infrastructure Environment. The NetApp Storage Operations technician will be responsible for the support and availability of the NAS solution in the Northern Trust environment. The current infrastructure consists of a range of NetApp filers running Data OnTap version 8 in both 7 and cluster mode. Replication is setup between data centers. The technician will work daily with offshore personnel to ensure that 7x24 support is provided for the Storage operations group. Also responsible for capacity planning, disaster recovery, and security where necessary and should Have extensive experience with operating systems, network protocols, systems programming and configurations, and/or switches, and routers.
