*Duration: 6 months +* *Rate: $40/hr C2C * * * *Phone screen, f2f* *Responsibilities:* · Resolve complex system problems and implement the most important system changes efficiently with no unexpected system disruptions · Ensure transparency of hardware/software conversions · Ensure accuracy and speed of error detection and resolutions · Evaluate new technologies within the *AIX and associated hardware systems* · Plan, coordinate and lead installations, testing and maintenance of DCI AIX systems software and related and compatible hardware · Work efficiently to minimize disruption to production systems/users · Plan, estimate, schedule and monitor projects and assignments in an accurate and thorough manner, providing timely and effective reports to management as needed · Perform capacity planning and performance analysis as requested and required within the AIX and associated hardware environment to provide advance warning of pending system problems and to overcome existing computer problems · Consult to management on strategic IT decisions that relate to the AIX software and associated hardware environments including choice of servers, peripherals and associated attached productivity devices · Develop and maintain documentation for essential hardware and software components as well as user procedures and operator procedures · Create scripts of test to be performed on all new software and hardware components to ensure compatibility and functionality · Provide assistance to non-technical staff in the form of recommendations, testing, debugging and other similar problem resolution techniques · Produce and maintain provisions for the timely and efficient recovery of resources including data backups and retrieval techniques, hardware alternatives in case of failure, redundancy and other protocols that are needed in a disaster recovery scenario * Minimum Requirements* · Expert level technical experience in systems software, hardware, planning and support work specifically related to *IBM’s AIX Operating System* · Able to evaluate technically recommendations for acquisitions, upgrades, downgrades and conversions · Work with a high degree of independence · *Expertise within the area of AIX operating systems and compatible hardware* · For the TSM subspecialty, candidate in addition to meeting the above qualifications must have 5+ years installing, maintaining, deploying and administering Tivoli Storage Manager or functioned as a Senior Storage Administrator with primary responsibility for TSM. *Experience Levels* Expert level, with eight (8) to ten (10) years of *AIX total System Administration experience that includes installation, configuration, support of AIX 5.2 and 5.3 in a production 24 x 7 environment on IBM hardware, 5+ years MUST have been in a virtualized environment (APV, VIO Server* *Thank you and have a great day,* *Kavita Singh* *Technical Recruiter*** *ZIETA Technologies * * ----We make it happen* PH: 678-248-2096 x 266 | FX: 404-601-9910 kavita.si...@zietatech.com <http://kavita.si...@zietatech.com%20> | www.zietatech.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP or Oracle Financials" group.
