*Duration: 3 months+ (big chances of extensions)* *Scheduled Work Hours: * *9:00 am 5:00 pm. 7 hour workday, 35 hour week. 1 hour unpaid lunch. Extra hours depending on need and discretion of program. * *SCOPE OF SERVICES* The New York City agency is seeking a qualified consultant to assist with the development of a Varicella module in the Automated Student Health Record system (ASHR). ASHR is an electronic health record system. The addition of this module will assist immunization surveillance for approximately 600,000 students. The consultant under guidance from the MIS development team will *develop a module utilizing ASP.NET.* The module will be designed to: fit in to the current ASHR data structure, record information per student, integrate current student demographics information for reporting purpose. * * *The consultant will target the following objectives: * - Develop module - Create print capability of completed records - *Create aggregate reports from data using crystal reports or SQL server reporting services. * - Investigate use of *SQL server reporting services to generate customized reports* - Recommend data structure based on business needs - Develop data export routine to transmit data - Investigate development of an alert system for schools with no varicella reports - Provide technical documentation of development work ** Knowledge of SQL Server is necessary to develop varicella reports optimized for SQL Server. * ** Knowledge of SQL Server performance tuning is required to produce reports with the least amount of server resources. * ** Knowledge of reporting from SQL Cluster and Replication DB highly preferred*.
