*Position: Lead or Sr System Engineer with Telecom Exp. Location: Seattle
WA Duration: 24 months*
· Leading system analysis, requirement analysis and system
functional specifications addressing operation needs, network management
needs, service management needs, and architecture evolution needs.
· Understand current Mobility networks and operations for in order
to determine future directions.
· Work with cross functional organizations to align Enterprise IT’s
mobility network support systems with corporate target architectures and
alignment with corporate standards and industry standards such as TMN,
3GPP, and NGOSS.
*Candidate will be required to demonstrate:*
- Extensive experience in *OSS/BSS* system engineering for cellular
networks
- Be able to demonstrate the following domain knowledge levels in the
area of mobility network management
- Performance - Extensive
- Fault - Extensive
- Configuration - Moderate
- Inventory - Basic
- Be able to demonstrate the knowledge of the basic network elements
involved in:
- Mobile Voice services
- Mobile Data services
- Mobile E911 and CALEA services
- The Mobile signaling network
- Have strong technical and analytical skills at both abstract level and
detail level.
- Demonstrated experience documenting OSS architecture and requirements
specifications
- Have a string understanding of requirements for the OAM&P of
telecommunications networks
- Have a strong understanding of requirements OAM&P of telecommunication
networks (TDMA, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, PSTN, CORE IP etc.) and services (voice,
data, and MMS). Have a basic knowledge of LTE networks
- Have a full understanding of Network Management standards (TMN, 3GPP,
NGOSS) and hands on experiences in specifying interface in IDL, XML, and
SNMP.
- Have a very good understanding of Wireless Network OSS system
integration, implementation and development technologies.
- Have a strong background in OOD methodology and modeling tools.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Experience with multi-tiers architectures, data modeling and diverse
technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments.
- Developed written and oral communication skills.
- Have a full understanding of Network management standards (TMN, 3GPP,
NGOSS) and hands on experiences in specifying interface in IDL, XML, SNMP.
*Required Qualifications** - *
- Candidate shall have a PhD in an approved field from an accredited
university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's
degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of
6 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in an approved
field from an accredited university and a minimum of 8 years of relevant
experience
- Five or more years’ experience with networks, network protocols, and
IP networks and at least seven years of experience with web development
using PHP, Perl, Action script and Java programming through all phases of
the software development lifecycle
- A strong understanding of security technology in the areas of VPN,
firewalls, proxy, and IDS/IPS as well as experience in Linux, Solaris and
Windows
- Candidate must have a strong communication skills both verbally and
written as well as strong problem solving skills
- Ability to balance and prioritize work and work independently and as
part of a team
- Previous experience as a system tester and experience in a lab test
environment
