· SQL Database Developer
Periodically Monitor Production databases from performance perspective.

· Carry out analysis of performance issues and proactively identify
expensive SQLs and other
performance bottlenecks.

· Work Support teams to explain/resolve critical
production performance issues.

· Carry out root cause analysis of Database/SQL
performance problems and recommend a solution.

· Communicate solution to the application developers and verify
that it is implemented correctly.

· Participate in software design reviews with developers to ensure
that the architecture is scalable to meet
long-term performance goal.

· Experience in analyzing system reports to determine if there are
performance issues.

· Develop SQL Performance Coding standards.

· Document technical details of issues resolved and assist the team
with building and maintaining technical repositories.

· Desirable Technical Skills Proven expertise in optimization of
SQL Queries.

· 5+ years as a DB Performance Analyst and/or SQL Tuner.

· Proven expertise in performance tuning for high transaction,
multi-TB sized Databases.

· A Team player to work with cross-functional teams with varying
skill-sets and in different time-zones.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·

*CTC: 6+ Months*



Candidate will be working alongside other technical systems engineers
throughout the upgrade, and will be expected to also train the 2 systems
engineers on our team with any changes, enhancements, etc. that are made so
the engineers can successfully support the tool.



1. Advanced level T-SQL skills (Advanced queries, Stored Procedures,
Functions, etc)

2.Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including related BI
technologies SSIS, SSRS, SSAS

3.Experience working with large and/or complex data sets

4.Experience performance tuning queries and ETL jobs

5.Strong written and verbal skills

6.Excellent analytical, conceptual, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
skills

7.Strong social skills – ability to engage others with questions and
solutions in a timely fashion, as they will be working to resolve critical
production issues

8.Team player – ability to work independently while successfully
contributing to a team

1.Added desired experience with candidate includes: ◦experience working
with financial data/systems

◦programming skills in C++, VBScript, and or Power Shell
