*Need Sr Informatica Developer in IL - 4+ Months contract!* Position : Sr Informatica Developer Location : Chicago, IL*(Need Locals for inperson)* Duration : 4+ Months *Need GC or USC!* Responsibilities: Hands-On ETL Architect acting as an ETL Senior Developer - Demonstrates full understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Responsible for design and development of ETL and database business applications. Possesses detailed knowledge of software design and best practices. Possesses knowledge of system and database management concepts. Provides design recommendation based on long term IT organization strategy. Provides expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business. Assists in determining specifications for software solutions. Provides advanced programming services for a variety of specific systems and business applications. Participates at all levels in systems analysis, design definition, software development, systems test, implementation, and maintenance. Demonstrates hands-on experience with software automation (e.g. unit testing, continuous integration). Exercises independent judgment. Prepares milestones status report and presentations on system concepts. Is expert in one or more programming languages such as Informatica ETL, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, and TOAD. Provide both order-of-magnitude and detailed estimates for software architecture and design activities and artifacts. Demonstrates good understanding of Agile and RUP software development methodologies. Develops software and provides technical expertise for analysts, developers, testers and technicians as needed to support Enterprise Information Technology National Program projects such as the Core Warehouse (PDR 16.0, NCCT 16.0, NDM 2.0). Health insurance industry background in the area of Claim Processing/Adjudication is preferred. Specific Required Knowledge / Skills: Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience Strong demonstrated analysis and design of quality technical ETL and DB solutions. Minimum of 7 years of IT work experience focused in systems development and programming Minimum of 7 years software design/development experience using Informatica ETL and database for business applications Senior Informatica developer with ability to design, code and unit test Informatica mappings. Informatica certified developers a plus Source to target mapping Analysis Design the ETL application architecture based on the documented requirements. Design and develop scalable Informatica processes. Ensure that the ETL requirements are adequately understood and documented. Assist in the development of the ETL Informatica application. Perform Integration functions for all Informatica code, including ensuring that system and integration test plans are developed and executed. Develop detailed ETL Informatica specifications based on Solution Architecture requirements. Develop and test the ETL application following all Informatica standards and architecture. Assist in the design of the ETL application. Hands-on experience with Informatica 9.x ETL Strong database experience using Oracle 10g/11g, SQL, PL/SQL and TOAD Experience w/ Rational Unified Process Methodology & Rational Tools (ClearCase, ClearQuest, RequisitePro, Rational Rose) Experience integrating one or more of the following: Oracle, Cognos, Websphere, ETL w/ various Java frameworks such as Spring Experienced in working with Erwin Strong Initiative with good verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated experience working within a team environment Proven ability to work w/ minimal supervision & adhere to schedules Highly desirable for candidate to have prior experience with BCBSA Inter-plan systems: Blue2, BlueExchange, PDR, LDLA, or BDC. Highly desirable to have Familiarity with BCBSA development processes and methodologies.
