• Under the direction of the Hire Now project manager, lead the effort to
ensure that the Hire Now! solution meets Commonwealth accessibility
requirements including coordinating and  facilitating the involvement of
stakeholders in accessibility planning and testing activities.
Stakeholders include: State Core (Project) Team, Systems Integrator,
Oracle, and other state agencies such as the Massachusetts Office on
Disability (MOD), Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB),
Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) and the MA Information
Technology Division (MassIT).
• Develop project accessibility test plan and execute plan across multiple
testing entities, including third party testing, project testing, systems
integrator testing and testing by MOD or other state agencies.
• Coordinate procurement of third party accessibility testing vendor.
• Review Systems Integrator test plan and test results.
• Review third party testing vendor test plan and test results.
• Conduct testing of Hire Now! application using JAWS and ZoomText
• Assist in prioritization and addressing issues identified during
accessibility testing.
• Enter, monitor and advocate for resolution of issues related to
accessibility in Oracle’s System Support tool.
• Develop mitigation plans with project team.
• Develop Accessibility Documentation as needed including developing or
participating in the development of job aids, helpful hints and other
materials to help users of assistive technology use Hire Now!
• Report to project manager and business and technical owners on
accessibility status throughout the project life cycle.

*Qualifications:*
• 3+ years working and 1+ year of consulting in the field of web
accessibility.  Experience in public sector (state, city) agencies is
preferred.
• Understanding of the current accessibility environment:
o Familiarity with legislative and industry-based standards such as W3C/WAI
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, WAI-ARIA, and ADA Section
508 guidelines.
o Active participation in professional web accessibility circles, with
experience organizing discussions, groups, and initiatives.

*• Extensive technical experience: *
o Proficiency with modern front-end web development (including HTML, CSS,
and JavaScript).
o Knowledge of web architecture (including asynchronous interactions,
JavaScript middleware, and application development).
o Experience with assistive technology such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver,
Dragon and Window Eyes, as well as accessibility features in Windows and
Mac.
o Familiarity with commercial web accessibility evaluation and reporting
tools.
o Understanding of user experiences (including complex online tasks and
mobile- and device-centric interaction).
o Track record of successfully applying accessible design principles to the
web development process.
o Experience with accessibility in COTS package environments.
o Experience in SAAS implementation is preferred.

• Experience in developing accessibility test plans and test scripts and in
implementing testing across one or more projects of similar size and
complexity of Hire Now!
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Collaboration and organization skills to work across multiple teams.
