Job Role : *Middleware and Network Engineering Lead* Location : *Charlotte, NC* Duration : 6 months Extension : Yes *Skills *: Weblogic/JBoss Application Servers administration, Web Servers administration, Firewalls, DNS, CMS, F5 VIPs and iRule consultation. *Job Description:* *Primary Function:- * Lead a team of 3-5 Middleware and Network professionals supporting the Bank applications and pre-production environments Support Delivery and Sustain Teams with Environment activities related to Application Servers, Web Servers, Firewalls, DNS, CMS, F5 VIPs and iRule consultation and 3rd party connectivity in all the different environments Act as the SME for Bank’s Middleware and Enterprise Network Engineering and set up and maintain standards and propose new standards, ideas and tools Facilitate 3rd Party Connectivity and manage relations with 3rd Party contacts Facilitate DNS and Firewall requests Create development MW environment and facilitate higher Environments readiness for Sync Up activities *POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Lead a team of resources for Middleware and Network engineering and serve as the SME for escalations Combination of Technical and Management skills Understanding of J2EE based applications / platforms Experience with Weblogic / Apache / Tomcat /JBOSS Application servers and installations Knowledge of Databases systems like Oracle and some hands on database experience Knowledge of monitoring systems/APM’s like Foglight, Splunk, JProfiler, Appydynamics, HP SiteScope etc. Understanding of Unix based systems (Solaris / VM’s / JVM’s) Knowledge of IT architecture / infrastructure & SDLC practices Ability to learn / understand and adapt to new technologies Ability to manage the relationship between various teams and maintain vendor relations Familiarity with networking fundamentals such as TCP / IP Protocol stack Troubleshoot problems and meet problem resolutions in an effective manner Effective Communications skills and Time Management Skills Knowledge of F5 load Balancers Support new application build-out efforts as well as changes to existing applications and environments Work with Technology and Infrastructure teams to test and troubleshoot application issues from Development to Production Coordinate weekly meetings with 3rd party vendors to resolve various issues Support and Consult on Firewall , Network, Load Balancer and Middleware changes and issues Knowledge of CMS is a plus Ability to occasionally work off-hours / weekends *Minimum Qualifications/Must Have:* · 7-10 years of Experience working on a UNIX (Solaris), Weblogic, Apache, F5 and Oracle DB stack · 3-5 Years’ experience in leading a diverse team of technical resources in the achievement of Corporate, Departmental, and individual goals on a consistent basis. · Hands-on experience on Solaris 10, WebLogic 10.3 / 11g/OSB, BigIP F5 and Apache · Experience with DNS, networking and firewall changes · Experience with troubleshooting critical issues in model and prod environments · Experience with presenting new ideas and creating presentations for proposals · Excellent Communications skills · Excellent Time Management skills .
