TITLE: SOA Tester with CA-Lisa experience LOCATION: Cincinnati, OH
DURATION: 6-12+ months INTERVIEW MODE: Phone or Skype *GC and Citizens only* REQUIREMENT: MUST HAVE: 2 years of RECENT SOA Testing experience Must have used – Itko Lisa, CA-Lisa, SOAPUI, or Parasoft (in most recent projects) Excellent communication skills Experience with major companies SOA Tester Overview: The SOA tester will provide support in developing SOA/integration interface test plans and estimates, automated test script development, executing service test scripts, reporting/tracking defects. The SOA Tester is responsible for managing quality and test related process execution with high impact to the business. This includes providing feedback on artifacts developed during requirements and analysis phasewithin DCP projects; authoring test plans and test cases; and performing test execution for both project and support related activities. SOA Tester Job Responsibilities: Work within various test methodologies such as SAFe agile Participate in the web application technical design process with the Application Architects on Internet and eCommerce related development projects. Test web services using CA Lisa automated scripts. Test web services using SDLC best practices. Participate in all phases of web services system testing. Develop, implement and maintain quality and test procedures, processes and best practices for QA. Develop and maintain test plan and test cases with associated test data based upon functional and non-functional requirements. Identify test automation opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of test services. Contribute to test automation scripting standards and best practices. Understand SOA Reference Architecture. Elicit & understand SOA testing requirements. Write automation scripts and participate in peer reviews. Develop a repeatable process for designing, developing, and executing scripts. Conduct tests, document and analyze test results and present findings to development teams. Report and document defects found during test cycles. Participate in defect prioritization sessions. Work with development teams to instill testability into development practices. Provide test services for support activity and work with release management to assure product release quality. Communicate timely status, including any potential risks/issues to the appropriate teams to ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. SOA Tester Job Requirements: Have 5+ years of overall software testing experience. Prior experience in Agile software development methodology (SAFe approach preferred). Be very familiar with CA Lisa or similar automated test tool (e.g. ParaSoft SOA, Soap UI) to include: Test script design and development. Testing web services designed to function in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment. Designing and writing automated test scripts. Prior experience using Jira for defect tracking. Have a minimum 3 years’ experience with automated web services testing. Possess in depth knowledge of SOA test automation framework, process, strategy, and approach. Demonstrate experience in validating XML, XSD, XPath Syntax, Web Services, MQ, Topics, REST, HTTP, SOAP Messaging, etc. Show a strong understanding of Java and C programming fundamentals. Be proficient in SQL and database concepts. SQL experience is a must - 2 years. Ability to succeed and focus in a fast paced environment with noise/distractions. Have own transportation as occasional travel between locations is required. Preferred Skills: Understand and utilize risk based testing techniques. Understand and differentiate the various types of testing (unit, smoke, functional, integration, system, user acceptance, regression, performance, and usability testing). Effectively analyze requirements to create usable test cases. Conduct root cause analysis on system issues. Document defects with clear information and steps to recreate. Accurately estimate work assignments. Manage and seek prioritization for tasks to meet project deadlines. Multi-task to meet assignment deadlines. Show assertiveness. Demonstrate excellent team work and collaboration skills. Effectively communicate to management and business partners.
