Job Title: Senior Linux Administrator Location: Madison, CT Type of hire: 1 year contract Interview Mode: Telephonic and Skype Job Description: As a member of the Infrastructure Team, this position will provide Linux and VMware system administration, support, performance testing, and monitoring. The Senior Linux Administrator will be responsible for virtualization, hosted infrastructure, web, and other critical Linux servers in a dynamic production environment. • Provides overall leadership role in multiple and complex areas of computing. Provides technical leadership to assist with long range vision in the area of systems design and architecture. Plans, develops and directs the design of major, complex systems • Operational support of Linux OS (RHEL 5.x, 6.x) and VMware ESXi 5.5 environments • Operates as a key contributor to departmental planning and long range technical development • Ensures that system design strategies meet the current and future business needs • Creates, conceives, and plans the development of new data sources, criteria and systems standards Education: • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and six years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and Experience: • Our production and DevOps environments utilize the following platforms; VMware vSphere 5.5, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Apache, Tomcat, MariaDB, Git, Maven and Jenkins. Focus on automation, scalability, high-availability, and re-architecture.
