1.) Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and an ability to interface with one.
Past experience writing clients around RESTful APIs would be ideal and
preferably within a language such as Ruby or Python.
2.) Familiar with TDD/BDD and frameworks that enable TDD/BDD (rspec,
Minitest, unittest, py.test, mock, cucumber, capybara, etc).
3.) Strong knowledge of (ranked in terms of priority):
- Ruby
- Python
- Perl
4.) Knowledge of configuration management and ideally specific experience
with configuration management tools such as the following (in order of
priority):
- Puppet
- Chef
- CFEngine
5.) Bonus: Full blown web development - Ruby on Rails, Java, etc. Chances
are they would have in-depth experience with 1-3 immediately if they met
this docket and could pick up Puppet easily.
