*Job Title : Conversion Analyst – Product Development Location : PA Duration : 1 year Rate : $50/Hr* Conversion Analyst – Product Development Purpose and Scope: The Conversion Analyst is responsible for undertaking the following pre-production tasks in the data conversion process: analyzing client data, developing specifications, producing conversion samples, and engineering a production plan. The Conversion Analyst is also responsible for leading the conversion process, for one or multiple concurrent projects, through the production and delivery phases. In addition, the Conversion Analyst is also responsible for maintaining communications with clients through the various phases of a project. This position requires the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously while conforming to deadline constraints as well as weekend/overtime obligation. Job Responsibilities • Provide pre-implementation support in analyzing data samples and identifying potential risk factors • Undertake detailed analysis of sample data provided by customers in order to develop project specifications, map account data to internal systems, undertake test conversions, and forecast resource requirements • Engineer the data conversion process for customer projects, including establishing timeframes and tracking of outstanding issues, based on the data analysis • Assist in leading the multi-functional project teams inimplementing the data conversion production plan, coordinating efforts among functional areas, as well as outside vendors and consultants, and communicating essential information to team members • Assume responsibility for communicating with customers throughout the project • Monitor progress and maintain responsibility for delivering projects on time • Conduct extensive QA on all data load and conversion development • Gather, define, document, and implement business requirements for production and enhancement requests when needed Required Experiences and Skills • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology related field • Five (5) or more years of progressive technical and/or managerial experience in data mapping of financial accounts, file conversions, analysis, and similar functions. • Three- five years experience as a business analyst, developer, or related project role preferred • Financial industry experience(investment management a plus) • Strong analytical skills and detail orientated • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications: Access, Excel, and Word • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL; UNIX a plus 1. Works directly with business analysts to identify and specify extremely complex business requirements and processes. 2. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems design. 3. Generates clear and concise system design documentation, and presents and explains design decisions to peers and business/product subject matter experts. 4. May give some direction and guidance to other application developers. 5. Analyzes existing system and programming logic to provide more efficient and optimized solutions, and revises the logic and procedures involved as necessary. 6. May participate in development methodology. Also: 1. 5+ years TSQL experience 2. SQL Server 2008 experience a big plus, especially strong knowledge of new features 3. Experience in PL/SQL and Oracle 4. 3+ years data architect/schema design experience 5. Strong DBA, index tuning, and related design optimization experience 6. Expertise in Profiler/query plan analysis 7. Experience building/optimizing high volume batch/bulk processing SQL server applications 8.
