*Job Description:*



- Understanding all forms of *OSC* requirements (business, stakeholder,
functional, non-functional, business rules)
- Understanding OSC’s implementation of Hyperion against requirements
- Assessing where OSC’s implementation of Hyperion does not best fit
requirements
- Recommending, and leading the deployment of, changes to OSC’s
implementation of Hyperion to best fit requirements
- Developing and updating system documentation, training materials, and
other user documentation where needed
- Performing training and other forms of knowledge-sharing with staff
- *Troubleshooting* of Hyperion error messages
 - Inputting very large files of information from the SFS system
effectively and efficiently: typical volumes as follows:
- Modified accrual ledger: 400,000 ledger lines in period 1 of fiscal year
and ramping up to over 826,000 lines by period 12 of fiscal year.
- Accrual ledger: 22,000 lines in period 1 of fiscal year and ramping up to
over 57,000 lines by period 12 of fiscal year
- Cash ledger: 391,000 lines in period 1 of fiscal year and ramping up to
over 686,000 lines by period 12 of fiscal year
- Cash ledger: 391,000 lines in period 1 of fiscal year and ramping up to
over 686,000 lines by period 12 of fiscal year
- Effectively using period end closing and roll over entries and processes
- Understanding *Hyperion data structures*
- Enabling the ability to use Hyperion as a *data capture tool* from web
based forms
- Ensuring the most effective use as a reporting tool – including the
abilities to:
Post adjusting entries within the Hyperion system for monthly, quarterly,
and year-end financial reporting and have proper consolidation and period
rollover
Help with creation of special financial statements such as Fiduciary
statements where it is required to show activity in total debits
(additions) and total credits (deletions). The current plan is to use a
query to gather data in SFS and load that activity via data form to
Hyperion. Also leveraging the “product” field in Hyperion to track
additions and deletions on manual adjusting entries posted in Hyperion.
This process has only briefly been tested and would benefit from the
support of a knowledgeable end-user Hyperion support specialist.
- Enabling the most effective use of Hyperion in an end user environment
for reporting purposes
- Understanding the use of *OBIEE* or other Oracle business intelligence
tools with Hyperion
- Understanding the use of *Essbase* with Hyperion
