Please let me know if you have any available consultants. · *Location: Richmond, VA or McLean, VA* *· Skill: core Java, Rest, and Spring (4.2.1 ideal), and preference for: devops experience, big data, and/or AWS/cloud* *· Interviews: 2 phone rounds* *· Term: 6 month contract to hire (must be GC or Citizen)* *Responsibilities & Expectations:* · Develop scripts and glue code to integrate multiple software components · A love of DevOps, open-source, self-service tools, and micro-services · Design and implement application frameworks, APIs, libraries and services that perform at scale using existing and emerging technology platforms · Automate the provisioning of environments pulling strings with Puppet, cooking up some recipes with Chef, or through Ansible, and the deployment of those environments using containers, like Docker or Rocket: (and for the love of automation, at least have some configuration management tool through some version control) · Design and develop automation workflows, performing unit tests and conducting reviews to make sure your work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for platform performance, and assessing the overall quality of delivered components · Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with customers, vendors, and other engineering team, solving complex business problems together · We’re looking for self-starters, those who can work independently, with and across teams. Establishing smooth running environments is paramount to your success, and happiness *Basic Qualifications:* · Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience · At least 4 years of development experience in Java J2EE technology, object oriented programming skills · At least 3 years’ experience in developing REST and SOAP based Web Services · At least 2 years’ experience Spring Framework · At least 2 years’ with Virtualization and Cloud Platforms · At least 1 years’ experience Linux · At least 1 years’ experience developing applications using Agile principles *Preferred Qualifications:* · 5+ years’ experience with OOP concepts · 4+ years’ experience with development and management of Java APIs · 1+ years’ experience with JavaScript Frameworks, Angular JS and Node.js · 1+ years’ experience working with cloud automation/orchestration technologies (ie.
