Working knowledge of TCP/IP operations, IP subnetting, routing, switching and LAN/WAN troubleshooting. Working knowledge of VMWare vSphere or similar virtualization technologies. Working knowledge of MS SQL Server supporting ASP.NET applications. Basic knowledge of storage technologies such as RAID, DAS, SAN (iSCSI). Working knowledge of web hosting configuration components, including firewalls, load balancers, web and database servers; clustering experience is a plus. Experience in the following is a plus: VB Scripting, PowerShell, or general knowledge of .NET development. Client service orientation combined with creative problem solving skills; strong written and oral communication skills; the ability to work effectively as part of a team, yet function well with independent responsibilities Be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while embracing change Must be detailed in documenting information and practice good follow-through techniques. Be highly motivated and interested in taking the initiative for their personal growth and development. Due to the 24x7 operations of the business, must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, holiday, etc. Typical candidate should have 2-4 years of server experience (we have had better luck with individuals coming from smaller companies having the opportunities to work on the various technologies above versus from larger companies where they might be segmented) Looking for a Windows administrator, with some experience in a few other technologies, like, networking, SQL, virtualization, etc. Candidates can have 2-4 years experience with servers, not including help desk.
