Please find the requirement below and let me know your interest.. *POSITION* *Business Analyst* *Quincy, MA* *1+ year contract* *Procurement Implementation Project* *Duties:* The ideal BA candidate will meet with business customers; define process flows of the procurement, bid, encumbrance and payment functions of various departments within our client. They must understand purchasing business operations, gather business requirements, develop business documentation and assist in implementation of business/technical solutions through customized purchasing system. Understanding of the state payment system is highly desirable. Act as a liaison between customer and technical solutions/support groups to identify business process, and design solutions workflows and reports to business problems. The candidate will analyze business and user needs, and document specifications to meet those needs, identify data collection strategies to expand and populate the Procurement system. Conduct user testing to ensure proper functionality prior to implementation. *DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Gathers and documents the detailed business requirements in form of a traceable, testable and verifiable format Applies use cases to fully ascertain the functionality of the system configurations and changes Evaluates existing data and systems in terms of their ability to support strategy and business operations Document each type of purchasing document with use cases so that key business processes can be supported and performance measures can be established Provides a roadmap for implementation of future state Identifies opportunities for integration points with other enterprise systems Develop and execute system test plans Define workflow for all assigned contract types Develops specifications for dashboards and reports as defined by the business sponsors Develops data requirements for Data Dictionary Works closely with Data Base Reporting to identify data sharing and data delivery methods and tools Work closely with all IT Managers involved with the project Works closely with the business users in identifying business rules to aid in the functional specifications of tasks Exposure to Business Requirements modeling techniques including Unified Modeling Language (UML), ) and service modeling Knowledge of integrated business process modeling for various types of operations procedures (including purchasing, bids, encumbrances and payments), including process improvements and efficiencies Familiar with BPEL (Business Process Execution Language) or Business Process Modeling Language Works closely with the IT PMO manager to prioritize and coordinate individual project tasks and assess time sensitive constraints on development tasks Develop reports to communicate schedules, issues, risks and project changes to project stakeholders and project manager Provide the necessary documentation in a project - I.e. statement of work, business requirements, use cases, functional specifications, and documentation for business training materials Resolves business problems Possesses strong knowledge of the business and applications that support them Attends to other tasks as assigned by Manager *Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 -8 years BA experience Experience in procurement systems implementation and commodity codes Active member or certification in IIBA is desirable Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) a high benefit Specializes in asset management.
