Please find the requirement below and let me know your interest.. *POSITION* *Data Modeler* *Denver, CO and Los Angeles, CA* *6+months* *PRIMARY SKILL:* The candidate should have very strong EDW designers, with experience with handling data from Hadoop and federating data between traditional data sources like Teradata, Oracle and HDFS/Horton Works etc. A Business Intelligence Solutions Modeler/Designer works under limited supervision to analyze and design analytical data integration solutions that include both structured and unstructured data, to develop and manage metadata from analytical data stores and data access tools, and to monitor and manage data quality. The ideal candidate will have the ability to promote the value and potential of BI across the Enterprise, understand how information is used to drive strategic and tactical decisions for the Business, and understand and anticipate the information needs of the Business. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:* •Assist in interviewing business users to obtain information requirements •Perform analysis on data sources to verify expected data content, relationships and quality •Design and communicate conceptual and logical data models •Develop and communicate high-level technical designs (designs that including testing strategies and data quality controls) in order to resolve complex technical and business issues •Evolve Business Intelligence solutions and data models to meet new and changing business requirements •Develop processes for capturing and maintaining metadata from all data warehousing components (from databases and big data repositories to data access tool catalogs) •Proactively monitor data quality; provide direction and guidance in improving the data load process •Support and advise business users on data conflicts or inappropriate data usage •Participate in the definition of best practices, standards and procedures for the Enterprise Analytical Data environment including the Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) processes •Adhere to and set data management, security, development policies, procedures and standards •Be proactive, motivated and flexible •Possess analytical skills and have the ability to support and manage multiple priorities •Cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI Information Management environment in conjunction with Business stakeholders and BI team •May mentor the activities of others for BI activities or projects.
