This position provides support for day-to-day operations, maintenance; analyses and resolution of issues; bug fixes and upgrades to these systems. These systems are 24×7 business critical applications, provides notifications and information to NC citizens and travelers throughout North Carolina; including all tourist & citizen traffic on the NC highway systems. The TIMS system interfaces with law enforcement and emergency management systems as part of the state’s emergency response protocols. Without the assistance of this .NET developer, NCDOT IT Web Services would not be able keep upgrade tasks on schedule, provide system support, maintenance, fix any issues that may arise, and undertake client changes. This dedicated short term (12 months) resource is required for supplementing existing DOT IT Web Services resources and to adequately accomplish the increased workload required to successfully implement these DOT initiatives and DOT content strategies.
