Please share me resumes at *rak...@acubahn.com <rak...@acubahn.com>* *Citrix Engineering Lead **/ Senior* *South Brunswick, NJ* *contract* As a Citrix Engineering Lead and systems technologist you will be an essential part of an organization that provides technology services for various business groups, including their applications and infrastructure. This technically focused lead position will provide designs, solutions and support as the technology landscape transforms to take advantage of new cloud technologies, as well as leveraging proven virtual and physical technologies. Additional areas of responsibility include process development, documentation, technology road maps, mentoring operational staff and ongoing evaluation of new technology. Specifically, your work will be dedicated to the task of transforming our Citrix Xenapp 5 & 6.5 usage currently on-premises into AWS EC2 running on Xendesktop 7.6. You will work jointly with cloud engineers, application developers and end users to achieve successful migrations of application workloads to the public cloud. *Responsibilities:* · Design and provide technical leadership for projects and lead the technical discussions and design of significant size and complexity that adhere to Enterprise level and AWS standards. · Lead technology reviews of existing Citrix implementations and develop practical solutions that take advantage of external cloud technologies (within corporate security guidelines) to facilitate the organization’s strategic direction. · Design creative, technically and fiscally sound solutions that are forward thinking and can pull from a variety of disciplines · Leverage scripting technologies to build, run and support for faster time to market and overall efficiency · Perform and lead tasks related to security patching, safeguarding the environment and maintaining corporate compliance requirements. · Partner technically and professionally with business groups and resources across organizations to achieve goals and objectives. Be able to work effectively with individuals having a wide variety of different backgrounds, experience and technical ability · Contribute to and encourage a collaborative team environment by being a team player and helping define the team itself · Be the lead engineer on projects to guide and deliver successful results. Able to contribute in ways that are not just limited to technology in an effort to achieve project goals · Proactively analyze data and use it to develop and recommend solutions to meet future capacity needs and maintain a healthy streamlined environment · Create accurate and well maintained technical documentation to make tasks successfully repeatable and enable a collaborative team environment · Fulfill the role as a technical subject matter expert · Flexibility to provide off-hour support on a rotational basis ● Act as the primary point of contact for the Cloud Infrastructure Transformation team as it relates Citrix and to Cloud Migration Architecture and related technology recommendations. ● Assist in the coordination of project activities, as they relate to Citrix and cloud architecture and technology, between Cloud Infrastructure Transformation team and program resources to ensure timely migration of applications. ● Deep involvement in the planning and execution of the migration plans to migrate and/or decommission application instances and servers in scope without disruption to business groups. ● Drive meetings with Subject Matter Experts from all areas of the business including: Infrastructure, Applications, Vendors, Architects and Leads to seek input from and plan/coordinate migrations, resource requirements and timelines. *Work Experience / Knowledge: * ● Deep experience architecting and migrating Citrix applications to the cloud ● Experienced technical leader with proven ability to lead technical design discussions and technology assessments as they relate to Citrix cloud migrations and support tools. ● At least 10 years directly related work experience in the Information Technology field is required ● At least 2-3 years of “hands on experience” with Citrix application migrations to the public cloud is preferred. ● Experience with Citrix Provisioning Services a plus ● Experienced migrating Citrix applications to Amazon (migration to Google as well would be a big plus). ● Experience migrating applications to Virtualized large scale environments. ● Experience in the DevOps Domain with experience in Continuous Delivery and Chef is a plus. *Required Skills:* *Must have the following Citrix expertise with matching experience*: · Design and day-to-day support of Citrix Xenapp 6.5 or later, with Xendesktop 7.6 experience a plus. · Ability to publish applications, plan for capacity and troubleshoot problems including those with production impact. · Citrix farm expertise including but not limited to load balancing, alternate addressing, licensing, controller elections, and the Receiver client. · Monitoring and analyzing Citrix health using the qfarm command and scripting technologies · Session behaviors of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services *Non-Citrix skills*: · VBscript or Powershell scripting a plus · Windows SA level (non DBA) understanding of Microsoft SQL · Functional knowledge of Windows Active Directory · Ability to support and troubleshoot Windows file and print services · Ability to administer virtual servers in a VMware ESX environment including cloning, modifying virtual hardware and addressing compute resource constraints · Must have a general understanding of networking such as: DNS services, load-balancers, routing and firewalls to be leveraged for designs and troubleshooting *AWS Cloud experience a strong plus, including but not limited to*: · Launching EC2 instances, configuring security groups, autoscaling · Glacier, S3 and EBS storage concepts · Creating Cloud Formation templates using JSON · VPCs · Load Balancing *Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)* ● A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar is preferred Thanks & Regards, *Rakesh N* *Acubahn Inc.,* *2000 Town Center , Suite 1900, * *Southfield, MI 48075* *Phone : 248-233-0654* *Email **:* rak...@acubahn.com <dee...@acubahn.com>, *Fax : *248-274-1044 http://www.acubahn.com/ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "American Vendor--IT Consulting" group.
