• This person must have demonstrated software engineering knowledge and expertise in the support of complex software development and maintenance.
• This person must communicate effectively with staff at all organizational levels to understand business needs, gather requirements, create technical content (documentation and training materials) and deliver technical training.
• This person must be able to effectively analyze complex software behavior, clearly document software anomalies/defects and exercise judgment in communicating operational impacts.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
• Designing, developing and testing of Oracle WebCenter Portal content and integrations – migration to WebCenter from Oracle AS/Portal, as well as release enhancements and corrective maintenance.
•.Debugging of WebCenter problems in support of fielded service.
• Software administration and monitoring of Oracle WebCenter using Enterprise Manager/Grid Control and other lower level tools.
• Installation and testing of Oracle WebCenter patches and upgrades.
Required Experience:
• Five (5) or more years of experience in information technology with at least three (3) years of hands-on experience developing web applications using portal technologies.
• Two (2) or more years of experience with hands-on engineering experience with WebCenter.
• Software development expertise using: HTML, XHTML/XML, _javascript_/J2EE and PL/SQL.
• Software administration of Oracle WebLogic server on UNIX/LINUX platforms.
• Candidate must be a self-starter, detail and process oriented, and possess strong problem solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Desired Experience:
• Knowledge of WSDL, SOAP, WSRP standards and experience in integrating systems using Web Services and BPEL.
• JAVA software development.
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Equivalent work experience in software/systems engineer will be consider in lieu of a degree. |
